The Steinway & Sons IW-16 is the most compact model in Steinway & Sons’ line of high-efficiency built-in speaker systems. It combines a large acoustic volume relative to its size with high-efficiency drivers, delivering significant dynamic range and high sound pressure levels while requiring only moderate power.
Despite the “IW” (In-Wall) designation, which indicates its primary installation method, the IW-16 can be installed not only in walls but also in ceilings. Using special mounting brackets, it can be integrated into various architectural designs, ensuring the speakers remain virtually invisible within the interior. Thanks to its versatile design, the IW-16 complements stereo systems as well as multi-channel and immersive audio systems equally well.
Combining digital amplification technology with digital processing in Steinway & Sons stereo and surround sound processors and patented Steinway Link technology ensures a high-resolution, energy-efficient and lossless transmission path for the purest possible sound.
